NICHOLAS AULETTA, CPP

Nicholas M. Auletta serves as Vice President of Security. Nick’s successful business experience includes over 10 years in strategic leadership positions within the security and investigations field after honorably serving in the military and serving multiple combat tours. Nick is board certified in security management as a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) through ASIS International. The CPP designation is considered the “gold standard” for security professionals and demonstrates an expertise in security principles and practices.
He is also an expert in background screening, investigations, and security credentials, having led a successful national background screening and investigations company. He is a regular speaker on the building, design, and best practices for corporate and government agency background screening and investigations programs. Prior to running his background screening and investigations business, Nick served as Vice President for one of the largest privately owned security and investigative services companies in the United States. Nick’s strategic leadership was instrumental in growing the business from a 2,000-person to a 4,000-employee operation responsible for complex security operations at some of the nation’s most critical infrastructure, to include the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the bridges and tunnels of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Columbia University and its affiliated medical and educational institutions, and the New York Health and Hospital Corporation.
Nick is a former Captain in the United States Army, serving as an Active-Duty U.S. Army Infantry Officer and earning Airborne, Ranger, and Combat Infantryman qualifications. His military experience included three tours and 44 months of deployed time to the Iraq combat zone. Nick’s military awards include two Bronze Star Medals and the Meritorious Service Medal, as well as numerous other commendations and achievement medals. After his Active-Duty service, Nick continued to work in the Middle East, managing a local company working on multiple Department of Defense logistic and security contracts, responsible for local national and third-country national personnel in Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.
Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Leadership and Management from the United States Military Academy at West Point, graduating with the Superintendent’s Award. In 2011, he received a Postgraduate Certificate in Security Management from the University of Pennsylvania at Wharton. He is a U.S. DHS-Certified Weapons of Mass Destruction Awareness Trainer and was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B). In 2014, Nick was appointed to serve on New York State Security Guard Advisory Council, advising the Division of Criminal Justice Services.
