Dennis Dowling, M.S. brings over 45 years of hospital administration experience to the position of President of American Health.
Mr. Dowling served in many senior executive positions including as Executive Director of the two flagship medical centers in the 22 hospital Northwell Health System, NY namely North Shore University Hospital, a major tertiary teaching hospital and regional trauma center (756 beds, annual revenue $900 million, 5,670 employees) and LIJ Medical Center, a major tertiary teaching hospital including free standing pediatric and psychiatric hospitals (1,015 beds, annual revenue $800 million, 6,400 employees). Mr. Dowling served as a Regional Executive Director and Senior Vice-President of the $15 Billion Northwell Health System.
Mr. Dowling is a member of the Hospital Financial Management Association, Past President of the Nassau-Suffolk Health Care Association, Past Chairman of the Planning Committee of the Greater, New York Hospital Association, Past Chairman of the Nassau-Suffolk Council and Guest lecturer at Peking University (Beijing, China).
Mr. Dowling is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.) and State University of New York at Stony Brook with a master of science degree in health care administration (M.S.).
